Preventing accidents at home

Keeping babies, toddlers and young children safe from unseen dangers at home is a challenge for all parents and carers.

The following advice about keeping children safe at home is provided by NHS Choices.

There are several ways to help prevent injuries to children in the home including:

  • supervising your child
  • being aware of the risks
  • creating a safe environment
  • using safety equipment
