Inter-Personal Violence

The World Health Organisation refers to inter-personal violence as violence between individuals and subdivides it into family and intimate partner violence and community violence (WHO, Violence Prevention Alliance, 2011).

Domestic abuse, honour based violence including female genital mutilation (FGM) and forced marriage, sexual violence and rape, stalking and harassment, trafficking and adult sexual exploitation are all forms of inter-personal violence.

View the NSCB Procedures Manual which covers all forms of inter-personal violence including Domestic Abuse, FGM, Honour Based Violence and Forced Marriage.
