Inter-Personal Violence

The World Health Organisation refers to inter-personal violence as violence between individuals and subdivides it into family and intimate partner violence and community violence.

Domestic abuse, honour based violence including female genital mutilation (FGM) and forced marriage, sexual violence and rape, stalking and harassment, trafficking and adult sexual exploitation are all forms of inter-personal violence.
