EHA Escalation Process

Advice for practitioners who are supporting a child/family through the Early Help Assessment and have an issue with the response of another organisation also involved.

You should seek a resolution by following this four-step Escalation Process:

  • Step 1: Raise the issue directly with the practitioner concerned;
  • Step 2: If this does not resolve the issue, contact the practitioner’s manager;
  • Step 3: If the issue is still not resolved you should contact the organisation’s service manager and inform the local Partnership Coordinator of your actions;
  • Step 4: If the issue is still unresolved, inform your local Partnership Coordinator who will ensure that the matter is raised with senior managers through partnership structures.
