The new Child Exploitation Guide replaces the old CSE Toolkit. This new guide will provide you with a 'One Stop Shop' for all the information you need relating to Child Exploitation.
The document has been designed to be an interactive guide. We do not expect practitioners to read the document from cover to cover but to use it as a prompt to find out more information about a variety of aspects of CE. The guide will signpost you to helpful videos, websites and reading to enhance your knowledge and skills further.
Some of the topics covered within the guide include:
- The Impact of Child Exploitation
- Trauma Informed Practice
- The Grooming Process
- Appropriate Language around Child Exploitation
- Transitional Safeguarding
- Contextual Safeguarding
- Adultification Bias
- The National Referral Mechanism (NRM)
- and much much more...
Within the guide we recognise that Child Exploitation is a complex area of safeguarding with advice and best practice being enhanced all the time. As a result, we will continue to add to this guide over time to cover more and new areas so make sure you bookmark it and keep going back to it for all your CE needs.
