Child Bi - Child Safeguarding Practice Review

The Northamptonshire Safeguarding Children Partnership has published a report looking into the death of a six-week-old baby.

The Child Safeguarding Practice Review into Child Bi examines the involvement of professional agencies in the period leading up to their birth and through to their death in November 2021, including engagement with the baby’s mother who was a drug user and victim of domestic abuse.

A number of key themes are explored, including concealed pregnancy, disguised compliance and unsafe sleeping, and the report identifies a number of recommendations made arising from learning in the review.
