Structure of the Board

The NSCB consists of senior representatives from all the principal organisations in the county whose staff come into contact with children and young people, their parents and carers.

The Board also has two Lay Members, whose role is to represent the local community and two Members representing the Voluntary and Community sector. In addition to the main Board, the NSCB has created a number of Sub Groups to undertake specific tasks on its behalf.

Keith Makin Independent Chair of the NSCB

Keith Makin is the Independent Chair of the Northamptonshire Safeguarding Children Board (NSCB). He is a qualified Social Worker and has held senior positions in social care services for over 30 years. He has worked as a Director of Social Services and as Chief Executive of an independent childcare organisation.
